CTC #190 - Artistic Impressions

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where we take inspiration from one of the sections in the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to create our projects each week.

This week we are taking inspiration from the Artistic Impressions section of the Annual Catalogue, pages 127 - 141. I liked this section of the catalogue so much I created two cards!

The first image to catch my eye was this one on page 127.

I decided to give it a bit of a different look, and use the flower from Love What You Do, applying the masking technique when layering the flowers on the main panel. I changed up the colours as well to coordinate with the Share What You Love DSP. I found that adding a little White craft in k to the embossed leaves on the background gave them more definition.

My second inspiration came from the top / central card on page 137.

I don't have Tropical Chic used in the original so used the two floral images from Beautiful Promenade instead, I like the way using these two images creates a mirror effect on the outside panels.

I hope you are inspired to join us in the challenge, just post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook Page.

Time to hop on over and see what Megan has been inspired to create this week.

Happy Stamping
Monique
