Card Swap Chain Series 5 - CASE-ing Sharni

Back in November 2025 we started the fifth series of the Card Swap Chain, arranged by the lovely Tracy Held. The idea is the we each made a card and sent it to another person in the chain. That person would CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) the card and send it to the next person who would in turn CASE it and send it on. There are 10 of us in this chain so definitely opportunity for a few variations to sneak in between the first and last card, and these blog hops take you on the journey through the CASEing process.

Sharni's Card
This chain started with Sharni's pretty purple card with this fun split layout. I love the monochromatic colour scheme of her card, and purple is one of my favourite colours.  If you didn't begin this hop with the first blog, I would recommend you pop back there to start the hop and learn a bit more about the original card.

I was seventh in this chain and it is great to see that the overall sketch of the card is still very recognisable, the additional layers of cardstock are missing but even the floral theme and very similar colours although I have added blue tones. I love this Floral Charm DSP and am so glad that it is still available in the online store. The flowers are from Lovely Arrangement stamp set and cut with the coordinating dies, the sentiment is from the same stamp set and fussy cut out. I love how the multi layered bow of Linen Thread looks, I choose four pieces of thread and made a bow from them in one go, then attached with a glue dot.

Time to keep hopping to see how this card was interpreted for the rest of the chain, and if it is still recognisable by the end of the chain What elements do you think made it all the way down the line?

Card Swap Chain Series 5 - CASE-ing Danielle

Back in November 2025 we started the fifth series of the Card Swap Chain, arranged by the lovely Tracy Held. The idea is the we each made a card and sent it to another person in the chain. That person would CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) the card and send it to the next person who would in turn CASE it and send it on. There are 10 of us in this chain so definitely opportunity for a few variations to sneak in between the first and last card, and these blog hops take you on the journey through the CASEing process.

Danielle's Card
This chain started with this cute Christmas card from Danielle, who has used a great technique, cutting the tree image from a Memories and More card to let the strips of DSP show from behind. If you didn't begin this hop with the first blog, I would recommend you pop back there to start the hop and learn a bit more about the original card.

My card was second in the chain, so there aren't many differences between Danielle's and my own card. I didn't have any Memories and More cards to use so stamped tree images onto a piece of 3"x4" of Basic White, and then cut a slightly different Christmas tree images. To create more of a contrast with the green trees I chose reds and golds for the strips behind the focal image.  I stamped the sentiment straight onto the base card which always makes me nervous that I won't stamp it straight!! Are you like that?

Time to keep hopping to see how this card was interpreted for the rest of the chain, and if it is still recognisable by the end of the chain What elements do you think made it all the way down the line?

Product of the Month Collaboration - April's Eyelet Blooms Die

Welcome to the April 2026 Product of the Month (POM) Blog Hop!  If you've followed my blog for  while you will know that in previous years we have had a period of Sale-A-Bration (SAB) at the start of each year. Well Stampin' Up! have implemented a new initiative instead of SAB, and that is Product of the Month. For POM there is a new product released every month that can be earned for a greatly reduced cost, $9 in Australia, with the purchase of $125 in product. So a group of demonstrators decided to help showcase these products we would run a blog hop each month to give ideas.

The Product of the Month (POM) for April is the Eyelet Blooms Die, what a great option for only $9, this die is so pretty and can be used in a number of different ways. In addition to the lovely samples our Design Team has created you can check out some great samples in the SU on-line store here, and place an order to earn yours today.

I decided to use the die to create a pretty background behind one of the cut apart panels from Lovely Blossoms DSP which I have mounted on a piece of Secret Sea cardstock. This die creates such a soft and lacey background, and to add interest I have cut mine from a panel of DSP.  The printed panels in the Lovely Blossoms pack make it so easy to create a beautiful card, all I needed to do was stamp the sentiment on a strip of Basic White and then add some embellishments and it is ready to pop in the post.

Time to keep on hopping and see what the rest of the team have created with this versatile stamp set, follow the links at the end of each blog post to make your way around the hop.

CTC #566 - CASE The Colours of the Nature Walk DSP

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the Nature Walk DSP, which you might know from last week is one of my favourite packs in the current offering. The colours are Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, Night of Navy and Pecan Pie. These are some of my most reached for colours so I am really happy with this challenge.

Here are those colours, aren't the neutral tones just beautiful? I always find it easier to do a colour challenge by seeing the colours on their own, not as part of the DSP. Sometimes I do this with the ink pads or cardstock swatches. Seeing them like this also works, so I hope it helps.

I took what I consider to be an easy route with this challenge, choosing pieces of the Nature Walk DSP with each of the colours and trimming them into irregular strips, narrow at one end and wider at the other. These are then layered onto a piece of Basic White bigger than I needed for the card to allow me to trim off the uneven edges. I find it easier to add adhesive to the base piece and add the strips randomising the colours and shapes. Next step was to add the sentiment from Scalloped Blooms, part of a bundle in the upcoming May to August Catalogue.

Here you can see the sentiment and backing panels are both raised on Dimensionals with the collection of leaves slipped in behind them. To give the leaves more dimension I used Blending Brushes to add coordinating ink to the ends of the leaves; and with the Pecan Pie leaves used Dimensionals to raise up the three leaves.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the colours of the Nature Walk DSP to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Julia has created this week.

Card Swap Chain Series 5 - CASE-ing Genna

Back in November 2025 we started the fifth series of the Card Swap Chain, arranged by the lovely Tracy Held. The idea is the we each made a card and sent it to another person in the chain. That person would CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) the card and send it to the next person who would in turn CASE it and send it on. There are 10 of us in this chain so definitely opportunity for a few variations to sneak in between the first and last card, and these blog hops take you on the journey through the CASEing process.

This chain started with this yummy card from the talented Genna, don't you just love those donuts? This is such a simple yet effective design. If you didn't begin this hop with the first blog, I would recommend you pop back there to start the hop and learn a bit more about the original card.

I was third in this chain so there are still a lot of the same elements on my card that were on Genna's original. The collection of stamped elements along the top, the torn section, and hand drawn border around the edge. I did choose to add my sentiment to the white torn layer rather than in the gap, so it will be interesting to see what others in the chain choose to do.

Time to keep hopping to see how this card was interpreted for the rest of the chain, and if it is still recognisable by the end of the chain What elements do you think made it all the way down the line?

Card Swap Chain Series 5 - CASE-ing Cheryl

Back in November 2025 we started the fifth series of the Card Swap Chain, arranged by the lovely Tracy Held. The idea is the we each made a card and sent it to another person in the chain. That person would CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) the card and send it to the next person who would in turn CASE it and send it on. There are 10 of us in this chain so definitely opportunity for a few variations to sneak in between the first and last card, and these blog hops take you on the journey through the CASEing process.

Cheryl's Card
This chain started with this fun fold card from Cheryl, if you didn't begin this hop with the first blog, I would recommend you pop back there to start the hop and learn a bit more about the original card and track its transition along the chain.

I was sixth in the chain and surprisingly the card hasn't changed all that much from the original. I have gone with softer cards than either Cheryl or Ros chose. I love how the Lovely & Beautiful DSP and coordinating dies look with this fun fold.

Time to keep hopping to see how this card was interpreted for the rest of the chain, and if it is still recognisable by the end of the chain What elements do you think made it all the way down the line?

Garden Poetry Suite - DSP two ways

My latest free form (not associated with a design team) card, I loved the dramatic colours of the Garden Poetry Suite as soon as I saw it in the Online Exclusive offering. This card features the front and back of a single sheet of DSP with the main image stamped using the coordinating stamp set. To create the variegated look on the leaves I added Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss ink to my stamp using Blending Brushes, adding the lighter colour first and the darker only over parts of the image. I love this technique and it goes so well with this gorgeous paper.

With the ink left on the Blending Brush I added some colour just to the edge of the base layer of DSP to give it more dimension.

My second card playing with this suite uses the same sheet of DSP but only has the horizontal strip of DSP added as I wanted more of the background DSP to show. I used the same technique for the stamped image and finished both cards with a Happy Birthday sentiment from Banner Sayings.

Let me know in the comments which card you prefer, or if you are like me and can't choose between the two!

CTC #565 -CASE Your Favourite DSP

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from  projects made with our favourite DSP from either catalogue.  So many projects to choose from with an so many beautiful DSP patterns in the Stampin' Up! offering at the moment!

There is one DSP that I really love at the moment and that is the Nature Walk DSP so I was immediately drawn to pages 38 to 41 of the catalogue. It was this somewhat simple card that caught my eye, I think my favourite pattern in this DSP pack is the one with the cursive font so it was easy to see why this card stood out, it is from page 38.  While I love the Nature Walk DSP I did want to stretch myself a little and use one of my other favourite DSP packs from the Online Exclusives, Floral Charm.  While the stamps and dies from this suite have been retired, the DSP is still available.

When I cut into a new piece of DSP I will cut off a 4" strip, then cut that in half at 6", giving me two pieces that I can easily cut down to layer onto a card front. That is what I did with the Country Wood DSP which I thought would make a nice neutral background, so when I couldn't decide between two of the patterns in the Floral Charm DSP pack I just decided to make two cards instead of one.  This first one features Pecan Pie with pink flowers (I think Petunia Pop), as the solid colour is from the back side of the floral pattern it is hard to be sure. I was going to match the large leaf with the card base, but decided it looked better with the large leave in Mossy Meadow, and the smaller leaves in Pecan Pie.

My second card has a Mossy Meadow base paired with a DSP strip featuring Mossy Meadow, Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze. The reverse side of the DSP featured Pretty Peacock and I love the subtle leaf pattern on this side of the DSP. I used the opposite coloured leaves to my first card, making the two of them really quick and easy to produce.  Let me know in the comments which colour combo you prefer.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use one of the projects featuring a DSP to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what the lovely and talented Rebecca has created this week.
