Among the lovely gifts we were given was one of the soon to be released Kits called Hooray for Honeycomb. I won't give too much away but some of the sentiments are balloon shaped, and when I first saw them they made me think of Easter Eggs, and so this challenge was the perfect opportunity to see how they'd go. Stampin' Up! includes multiple language sentiments in the kits so I used three of the balloons, covered them in adhesive and added strips of cardstock from the challenge. For the background I tried a simple technique that I have never tried before, adding ink over the top of images stamped in VersaMark, I love how this turned out, though had to add way more ink than I thought I would to ensure the flowers were visible. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1995" data-original-width="1475" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBLsvWubOyCzNKLja1R2XcFq5VWeWTH9JOLerECUgy_c-U8wBG38AbJ09CtlHJSzm9kVvOGdeALJMbsCMouwiEG8bCSajMm6VaG62N-8gNB3WuPspdhdJBWbf6KjQWxmzgZ411ZMU83YuiRy6GpIIbh2Zzi6o108idTdiO8mgXBMP9op018H6w5tP4770O/w296-h400/CTC%20-%20461%20-%20Project%20-%20Kit%20original.jpg" width="296" /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I did want to share the original card from the kit that inspired these cute Easter Eggs, so here is the one that I made in my Make n Takes at OnStage. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/" target="_blank"> <span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoH0oO_sle2oZ91m0HTs4f0lYGZzNCQU6nN-jh4jCQi8niSAXfZ6TqKFIzjk_vzJzYEFHLCvMqFNsEOeprmUvOtwTXQjdlNP4grvPvu_a1cTeeAPMm3xsmqqe2WdsOmI81twyfELmOwHRP/s200/CTC+-+Join+The+Challenge.jpg" width="200" /></span> </a></div>I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the colours of Lighter Than Air DSP to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/" target="_blank">CTC Facebook page</a>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href=" https://judymay.typepad.com/just_judy_designs/2024/03/ctc461-lighter-than-air-dsp-colours-.html" target="_blank"> <span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjapyf6RZFAT6c5uXtFx809nPho5zyS6O9p-y4a-pRIo5hGovHffdwjSKONfYLcVCWdL2gKjrnDmIgg-32ygLo0MfNh7KWa0t3Q52LELweLaK5MUgk4sQUzrPoIoXl8vkf0sjmBr5i09DfhvSpVRDea30VjVqTP4A9FD7zXcyANJj_gEg1vpjlfLnIpDw=w200-h170" width="200" /></span> </a></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Time to hop on over and see what <a href="https://judymay.typepad.com/just_judy_designs/2024/03/ctc461-lighter-than-air-dsp-colours-.html" target="_blank">Judy </a>has created this week.<br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Happy Stamping</span><br style="text-align: left;" /><span style="text-align: left;">Monique</span></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451618488733459051.post-41783510954296380472024-03-04T07:00:00.004+11:002024-03-04T07:00:00.136+11:00Let's Craft Together Blog Hop - Colour Challenge<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR8LZ_mB675Juyh1ooi8JdvHUYNsol6ci4Nh_Nqrcd-EOHxSC_qUIeWqqW6DN18nUi90nPCbzW6Kw23Bm7Mr2HXTnU7n5aXv6nBIQ5TGjN6iVTstaZ1WaLB3ZqxSV6vkhe8W4Ikmk1kh0ApkdL2Tu82hI7qD5t8AviQc9qNKsRSYPdH6UhBIJyDwKLp-xe/s411/1%20-%20Banner%20-%20cropped.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="292" data-original-width="411" height="227" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR8LZ_mB675Juyh1ooi8JdvHUYNsol6ci4Nh_Nqrcd-EOHxSC_qUIeWqqW6DN18nUi90nPCbzW6Kw23Bm7Mr2HXTnU7n5aXv6nBIQ5TGjN6iVTstaZ1WaLB3ZqxSV6vkhe8W4Ikmk1kh0ApkdL2Tu82hI7qD5t8AviQc9qNKsRSYPdH6UhBIJyDwKLp-xe/s320/1%20-%20Banner%20-%20cropped.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-size: 19.8px;">Welcome to the monthly Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. I just loved this inspiration image with the dark background and the pop of bright colours. I think the Stampin' Up! colours that best represent this image are Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Pretty Peacock, and Basic Black. You can of course add Basic White. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicQQ3Wa_RqV52xTUgQFafB7LoMzQO6vwqZq-0sBZvdJOOcV45Z8ME2jGCDA_mWx8ki7-bWmghintvC7Kz2y_ue9FX-bvXhVfWmXWwKI7tnTwQ87YMJmITNP7i4EIVmvMSyyMXZxZIAahqCZ1LurVLU3qowvYsiyRKxajtCmj5G06n0Y0AbXH3ZSs8lqyXz/s2048/2024%20-%20March%20-%20Front.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1535" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicQQ3Wa_RqV52xTUgQFafB7LoMzQO6vwqZq-0sBZvdJOOcV45Z8ME2jGCDA_mWx8ki7-bWmghintvC7Kz2y_ue9FX-bvXhVfWmXWwKI7tnTwQ87YMJmITNP7i4EIVmvMSyyMXZxZIAahqCZ1LurVLU3qowvYsiyRKxajtCmj5G06n0Y0AbXH3ZSs8lqyXz/w480-h640/2024%20-%20March%20-%20Front.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Whenever I have a challenge with greens in it I always think of plants or flowers, depending on the other colours. While the inspiration image is quite dark, I wanted to lighten the look of my card and so focused heavily on the Crushed Curry for the solid part of the flowers and tiny dots around the bunch, and just used the Pumpkin Pie for the line stamp that is part of this set's two step stamping. I did a similar thing with the leaves, Pretty Peacock on the lines and Granny Apple Green on the fill in. I thought the checked ribbon added a grounding element to the bunch of flowers. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh31yXVyi4ytFkq5SNiplxRNtcpBDU8CSKdsTyfYc7xpcfVGKKwYNphnBqdhPh3_fp_03KgoQFAjMo7-QwVD-Yb2PjbkPRtV1YlmeZXCiU7ovNNqT_3BJJvr-C_Dry0yJTWtUfrH7AQX_DnKUzDU9E2Pl40LCmNmRzgAbC8OmNNhef2ObuHsoWGWexJcqTe/s2048/2024%20-%20March%20-%20Inside.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh31yXVyi4ytFkq5SNiplxRNtcpBDU8CSKdsTyfYc7xpcfVGKKwYNphnBqdhPh3_fp_03KgoQFAjMo7-QwVD-Yb2PjbkPRtV1YlmeZXCiU7ovNNqT_3BJJvr-C_Dry0yJTWtUfrH7AQX_DnKUzDU9E2Pl40LCmNmRzgAbC8OmNNhef2ObuHsoWGWexJcqTe/w480-h640/2024%20-%20March%20-%20Inside.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Inside the card I used some of the DSP from the front, from Fresh As A Daisy, and some additional stamping. However the more I thought about it the more I liked features of the card on the left as well, so decided aspects from both of the cards and meld them to create my own version. I just love the tree trunk and leaf dies from the card on the left, and couldn't resist the vines and sloths from the card on the right and it grew from there. </div></span><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1614" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8kDLcJ4JlyIY9xe5FYh9uEhPAN051V6nDTNX0rkQZUP2-0WK0RlLCx0pe6vFsJVfoDdh7g3kMjOTpYXMPMGTWF8ALZYO7Ifd2oWK2uuPGT5lE5n56xTLKzC_ZsVM8WUKIPREmElKD6uKyXGaUNJ43XilB9j_37TU4gDfLRHYcHp9sO86vLmt_3BT2GEp5/w504-h640/CTC%20-%20457%20-%20Project.jpg" width="504" /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">One of the great things about the tree trunk die is that it doesn't have a correct up and down which means you can flip it "upside down" without making it look weird; this let me add one to each side of the card, more in keeping with the card on the right. I enhanced the groove marks in the trees with Blending Brushes and Stampin' Write Markers to give more depth. The backing DSP comes from Stargazing DSP pack, who would have thought an outer space DSP would work for a jungle card! I coloured the sloths with my Stampin' Blends, I coloured all over with one colour and then coloured over it with another (pale over dark, then dark over pale) and it gave this lovely mottled look which I think suits these cute sloths perfectly.</div></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/"><span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoH0oO_sle2oZ91m0HTs4f0lYGZzNCQU6nN-jh4jCQi8niSAXfZ6TqKFIzjk_vzJzYEFHLCvMqFNsEOeprmUvOtwTXQjdlNP4grvPvu_a1cTeeAPMm3xsmqqe2WdsOmI81twyfELmOwHRP/s200/CTC+-+Join+The+Challenge.jpg" width="200" /></span></a></div>I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use projects that feature dies from any catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/" target="_blank">CTC Facebook page</a>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.handmadebyjuliaquinn.com/2024/02/how-about-cute-tool-box-card-ctc457.html" target="_blank"> <span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjapyf6RZFAT6c5uXtFx809nPho5zyS6O9p-y4a-pRIo5hGovHffdwjSKONfYLcVCWdL2gKjrnDmIgg-32ygLo0MfNh7KWa0t3Q52LELweLaK5MUgk4sQUzrPoIoXl8vkf0sjmBr5i09DfhvSpVRDea30VjVqTP4A9FD7zXcyANJj_gEg1vpjlfLnIpDw=w200-h170" width="200" /></span> </a></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Time to hop on over and see what <a href="https://www.handmadebyjuliaquinn.com/2024/02/how-about-cute-tool-box-card-ctc457.html" target="_blank">Julia </a>has created this week.<br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Happy Stamping</span><br style="text-align: left;" /><span style="text-align: left;">Monique</span></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451618488733459051.post-36308063057366255042024-02-04T20:00:00.023+11:002024-02-04T20:00:00.137+11:00CTC #455 - CASE Forever Love<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAoSrtDi1IDLvYsIaaeMvHiILU6Y-S6kysS18rj37UonT7FmO79Ag5N7J4p1-DKMoUxbF0g-arqemSLqZPbMGce5kHuLl7CxPIEGowIUdibj3uXcea85JYaj258u91gFMXks0YsPUhoEdz/s1600/CTC+-+Header.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="393" data-original-width="700" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAoSrtDi1IDLvYsIaaeMvHiILU6Y-S6kysS18rj37UonT7FmO79Ag5N7J4p1-DKMoUxbF0g-arqemSLqZPbMGce5kHuLl7CxPIEGowIUdibj3uXcea85JYaj258u91gFMXks0YsPUhoEdz/s320/CTC+-+Header.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. I know for me its been difficult to use up the pretty papers for fear of not having them when I want them. But something that I have learned over time is that Stampin' Up! is consistently bringing out more beautiful papers all the time, so now I try to use them up before the next pack catches my eye. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">One of the things I like to do when I get a new pack of paper is to cut a 2" strip of each of the different sheets (usually 6 of the 12). I cut this into 2 x 2" and 2 x 4" pieces. The 2" pieces I stick onto plain cardstock and add to an A5 folder I have, cutting a small circle of the coordinating cardstock colours. The 2"x4" pieces I punch a hole in the top of each piece and add to a ring to use as a reference. This serves two purposes: 1) it gets me to cut into the DSP; and 2) it gives me two reference points that I can go to quickly when looking for a DSP option.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiND8cfCTwHzd2vEEvuTiFqKov7IxUojD96pmFBE1uaLDJUczzKpHgq17506YVYAfiKEd5biXw-JIL6BJyUCXg2mX43FViGNn4nla2-NAaehlH2ETnB2CA5l-FzhVs8cRMumKECVhw1pyN9wmZPjlCUnt0S5A0cEN9NwXEjI1TTCvmVIGm1O98VxVf3f8qc/s2048/2024%20-%20January%20Project%201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1509" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiND8cfCTwHzd2vEEvuTiFqKov7IxUojD96pmFBE1uaLDJUczzKpHgq17506YVYAfiKEd5biXw-JIL6BJyUCXg2mX43FViGNn4nla2-NAaehlH2ETnB2CA5l-FzhVs8cRMumKECVhw1pyN9wmZPjlCUnt0S5A0cEN9NwXEjI1TTCvmVIGm1O98VxVf3f8qc/w295-h400/2024%20-%20January%20Project%201.jpg" width="295" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">One of the great techniques that I use to play with new DSP is the Triple Cut and Shuffle process. Simply take three pieces of DSP cut to fit on your card front, stack them together and cut them into three pieces, usually on the diagonal. Then you shuffle the pieces to have one of each on three card fronts, so its a great way to quickly make a stack of cards.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"> </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZx3Yc1ezv7j4EaHIzFN79AUPmvD_Q1QbiuOYp2VLAnZh_Va1L2E77YVqYAh03nE8nL9d-52MPexIDR3iK095eRGIFyxrGj06ntq31UzKYCyUhZBPHxQ9zIYvg6mFEldOCqA3zfgdnwOfj00OJmVu48BdGBCaekZcOLJaNhQ7563qaShl0mj7qcLgzhZ68/s2048/2024%20-%20January%20Project%202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1535" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZx3Yc1ezv7j4EaHIzFN79AUPmvD_Q1QbiuOYp2VLAnZh_Va1L2E77YVqYAh03nE8nL9d-52MPexIDR3iK095eRGIFyxrGj06ntq31UzKYCyUhZBPHxQ9zIYvg6mFEldOCqA3zfgdnwOfj00OJmVu48BdGBCaekZcOLJaNhQ7563qaShl0mj7qcLgzhZ68/w300-h400/2024%20-%20January%20Project%202.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">For my cards I just had to use the gorgeous Perennial Lavender 12"x12" DSP from the new mini catalogue. As a bit of an added extra, on this version of the card I covered the joins with a thin strip of coordinating cardstock. The sentiments on the first two cards are made with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch which is a great size for a number of different sentiment stamp sets. On the first card I used the Coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set and the second I used a sentiment from Perennial Postage which is part of the Perennial Lavender Collection.</div></div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0iW0FGHTQrgbxXDX1DBMzBhN_OZ9EouE79syCoBNR4K9khH2mS_n1jBztKuj6ElvzClrtq6eJWvSjeryVjd4knxjLBYUvkDel8jn1IVErtXaFkacv5czAXtSxoX8ySlvb7Honn2on8185skLDQaEZq65d0oeTkqDyKe_xCLRCzUp1kkc7GAvdhTI8vd5N/s2048/2024%20-%20January%20Project%203.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0iW0FGHTQrgbxXDX1DBMzBhN_OZ9EouE79syCoBNR4K9khH2mS_n1jBztKuj6ElvzClrtq6eJWvSjeryVjd4knxjLBYUvkDel8jn1IVErtXaFkacv5czAXtSxoX8ySlvb7Honn2on8185skLDQaEZq65d0oeTkqDyKe_xCLRCzUp1kkc7GAvdhTI8vd5N/w300-h400/2024%20-%20January%20Project%203.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">My third card uses the Perennial Postage Dies paired with Go To Greetings. I have embellished this card using one of the pretty paper butterflies and bling from the Perennial Lavender Collection.</div></div><div><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;">I am happy to report that I have used quite a bit of this DSP, I made a second set of these cards using the same technique, but gave them away before photographing them. I had an idea that they might work together as a background, so I chose stamps from Notes of Nature, from the new Jan to Apr Mini Catalogue, to go with each of the colours, then started stamping. I did a lot of stamping off as I didn't want the background too bright. Then to age the piece further I used Blending Brushes to add Bubble Bath and Pecan Pie to the whole piece, darker in some places and lighter in others. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju8se81FsLTHn13j1Zs1LmzRnhKCM1knU-p2zjK8Y44m_Zdr1O77SRHVI88b8ILZhvYc1nT6o_7eeg31_h4nfQ_ajkpSlpppQ4o4R_M0Hyq9gZgvqjcqONeKNnogY9KiPm7yveGQp5Uf2VrL6C19Tvdtfl8j96uE5BVrNKbNC6HV2A_x2I8O0y2m6cmVb-/s1549/2024%2001%20-%20Card%20Front.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1549" data-original-width="1197" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju8se81FsLTHn13j1Zs1LmzRnhKCM1knU-p2zjK8Y44m_Zdr1O77SRHVI88b8ILZhvYc1nT6o_7eeg31_h4nfQ_ajkpSlpppQ4o4R_M0Hyq9gZgvqjcqONeKNnogY9KiPm7yveGQp5Uf2VrL6C19Tvdtfl8j96uE5BVrNKbNC6HV2A_x2I8O0y2m6cmVb-/w494-h640/2024%2001%20-%20Card%20Front.jpg" width="494" /></a></div>The dies that are part of the Notes of Nature include the cute one I used to create the punched holes down the side of the piece. Once I had done that I scrunched up the cardstock in my hands a number of times and scraped my finger down the edge. I added some additional Blending Brush Pecan Pie around the edges. <div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw670veauLKlIJpBb2TR7QhX5TGj9EoResJ6WNW00utVYlZPhe6Evw8XtBGexgORPue21wWa1A7URk1-foa-f85mlzdmQqEd7yj0VPzS4EIjE2MXukaJR2bDgB0Qg-wqkKrKSMRJklykYtXRolhDJkv2CYJ1IhUeig1Z455E426ElmyKwmw-TlKlWeAGGU/s1661/2024%2001%20-%20Card%20Side.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1661" data-original-width="1249" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw670veauLKlIJpBb2TR7QhX5TGj9EoResJ6WNW00utVYlZPhe6Evw8XtBGexgORPue21wWa1A7URk1-foa-f85mlzdmQqEd7yj0VPzS4EIjE2MXukaJR2bDgB0Qg-wqkKrKSMRJklykYtXRolhDJkv2CYJ1IhUeig1Z455E426ElmyKwmw-TlKlWeAGGU/w482-h640/2024%2001%20-%20Card%20Side.jpg" width="482" /></a></div>Looking for a sentiment I thought it would be fun to use part of the "Field Notes" Stamp with the sentiment from Gorgeously Made and layer this over the flora stamps that have been die cut. I am beyond happy with how this turned out! Let me know in the comments if you have used your stamps to make a background paper. <br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">I hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop, just follow the link below:</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">

Stamping each of the letters in a different colour, and layering these on the Granny Apple Green die cut banner really makes them pop. I added Poppy Parade berries to the banner as well. I also think the wider wreath is a better option for the less sparkly gold DSP. I chose the woodgrain sheet from Joy of Christmas DSP pack to give the feel of a wooden front door. The tricky element with the card is that the wreath is actually adhered to the inside panel of the card, and lines up with the elements on the front of the card.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqEObyQ99zGbOIiXp8wEXK8AbrF8BbdX6vILtPWjswN5fhH0x1SFrR4SmT0mhffR8yobyVZQxZWc8SjCDoTJCy_DK2jrFm5ZrRZXcmTDGhiVodJ1xGHz2geRi1T6biiSkL-IFLCkuwLtNbfemCIvnfLF5tKUaMizJGcNL6IpCVryymWA9mH23tMQyGXpw8/s2048/CTC%20-%20445%20-%20Project%202.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqEObyQ99zGbOIiXp8wEXK8AbrF8BbdX6vILtPWjswN5fhH0x1SFrR4SmT0mhffR8yobyVZQxZWc8SjCDoTJCy_DK2jrFm5ZrRZXcmTDGhiVodJ1xGHz2geRi1T6biiSkL-IFLCkuwLtNbfemCIvnfLF5tKUaMizJGcNL6IpCVryymWA9mH23tMQyGXpw8/w300-h400/CTC%20-%20445%20-%20Project%202.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>I achieved this by firstly adhering the wreath to the inside panel aligning it perfectly with hole cut in the front of the card. I then added images stamped and cut from the Joy of Noel stamp set, trimming the edge of one of them with the deckled circle die that I used for the wreath (this is much easier to do if you mark the "top" of your die, ask me how i know!). Without adhering any of the elements in place I kept moving them until I was happy with the overall look from the closed front, and the open card.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKZoLPAzsMbwcut-sYT5eo027-IoKGuYvOE0gUdZHT22lrwqkrEAj-sd75kDFDLEZvuyOrQGL3dGRJjXRbyA7kZNWNEcZVLKONPvJt4hi-BGPV1-aHZjh8rl-Tc2bnrkdtiHNkJOxWgLzzB11edNnHWVdOfceSt_0HCHa0tejn4SbiwKJeFxSxCxZ8WUtF/s1750/CTC%20-%20445%20-%20Project%203.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1750" data-original-width="1313" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKZoLPAzsMbwcut-sYT5eo027-IoKGuYvOE0gUdZHT22lrwqkrEAj-sd75kDFDLEZvuyOrQGL3dGRJjXRbyA7kZNWNEcZVLKONPvJt4hi-BGPV1-aHZjh8rl-Tc2bnrkdtiHNkJOxWgLzzB11edNnHWVdOfceSt_0HCHa0tejn4SbiwKJeFxSxCxZ8WUtF/w300-h400/CTC%20-%20445%20-%20Project%203.jpg" width="300" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Even when the card is open the front panel still looks balanced, so I was really happy with how this turned out, not one to mass produce however! I coloured a couple of Textured Elements with Stampin' Write Markers; did you realise that these are currently available as On-Line Exclusives? </div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvjSC8sOvI8K9eBqKP9GsIYvAPwmWkphYED3dkD1gmgyfgxjTQwe3aEMgHGtdBu7F5QlD1k1NBNY5TVRcOhLYjy7odGU6qZ3t7ddeR8Z8Pk-Bxv1asd-B0Vkl0Obsx1bX4q1D1h1O7PXW99O1NrsSSDw3yhuNFT-vCWJUbtDNOKvk6_A8QeN7-oaxMOHjT/s1395/CTC%20-%20441%20-%20Project%202%20close%20up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1068" data-original-width="1395" height="245" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvjSC8sOvI8K9eBqKP9GsIYvAPwmWkphYED3dkD1gmgyfgxjTQwe3aEMgHGtdBu7F5QlD1k1NBNY5TVRcOhLYjy7odGU6qZ3t7ddeR8Z8Pk-Bxv1asd-B0Vkl0Obsx1bX4q1D1h1O7PXW99O1NrsSSDw3yhuNFT-vCWJUbtDNOKvk6_A8QeN7-oaxMOHjT/s320/CTC%20-%20441%20-%20Project%202%20close%20up.jpg" width="320" /></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">This isn't a great photo, but it does show the sparkle that a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds gives to the background paste, and Wink of Stella on the Textured Elements. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/"><span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoH0oO_sle2oZ91m0HTs4f0lYGZzNCQU6nN-jh4jCQi8niSAXfZ6TqKFIzjk_vzJzYEFHLCvMqFNsEOeprmUvOtwTXQjdlNP4grvPvu_a1cTeeAPMm3xsmqqe2WdsOmI81twyfELmOwHRP/s200/CTC+-+Join+The+Challenge.jpg" width="200" /></span></a></div>I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use an Annual Catalogue to inspire your Festive project, then post a picture of it to the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/" target="_blank">CTC Facebook page</a>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://judymay.typepad.com/just_judy_designs/2023/10/ctc441-giving-it-a-twist.html" target="_blank"> <span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjapyf6RZFAT6c5uXtFx809nPho5zyS6O9p-y4a-pRIo5hGovHffdwjSKONfYLcVCWdL2gKjrnDmIgg-32ygLo0MfNh7KWa0t3Q52LELweLaK5MUgk4sQUzrPoIoXl8vkf0sjmBr5i09DfhvSpVRDea30VjVqTP4A9FD7zXcyANJj_gEg1vpjlfLnIpDw=w200-h170" width="200" /></span> </a></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Time to hop on over and see what <a href="https://judymay.typepad.com/just_judy_designs/2023/10/ctc441-giving-it-a-twist.html" target="_blank">Judy </a>has created this week.<br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Happy Stamping</span><br style="text-align: left;" /><span style="text-align: left;">Monique</span></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451618488733459051.post-43164019881682673882023-10-08T20:00:00.036+11:002023-10-08T20:00:00.142+11:00CTC #440 - CASE A Mini Catalogue Embossing Folder Project<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAoSrtDi1IDLvYsIaaeMvHiILU6Y-S6kysS18rj37UonT7FmO79Ag5N7J4p1-DKMoUxbF0g-arqemSLqZPbMGce5kHuLl7CxPIEGowIUdibj3uXcea85JYaj258u91gFMXks0YsPUhoEdz/s1600/CTC+-+Header.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="393" data-original-width="700" height="224" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAoSrtDi1IDLvYsIaaeMvHiILU6Y-S6kysS18rj37UonT7FmO79Ag5N7J4p1-DKMoUxbF0g-arqemSLqZPbMGce5kHuLl7CxPIEGowIUdibj3uXcea85JYaj258u91gFMXks0YsPUhoEdz/w400-h224/CTC+-+Header.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. This month’s is a Colour Challenge created by Michele Jutrisa using some of her favourite colours: Boho Blue, Parakeet Party, Berry Burst, Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lolly. The challenge is to use at least three of these in a creative project. You might like to have a go at it yourself. If so, we would all love to see your creation.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr2zzD3iD1BJuu21YSgkk7MqjT9CwP_jGZNESOaq7WF37GOw-JsuJ8euT2xUHhPezsrRXp8EajeHPeSmQTyJhXWeZw_D3jFFpxEApEDhnGtP_tfQDkBdr2N_sxbqIL2WEVW8VEbcrhSBJSG2p9VTmbU4OS7YJsdc96Z83YAIu6E7lSdJH2abPOlMOYib4v/s2000/2023%2010%20-%20Colour%20Challenge%20-%20Project%20Front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1500" data-original-width="2000" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr2zzD3iD1BJuu21YSgkk7MqjT9CwP_jGZNESOaq7WF37GOw-JsuJ8euT2xUHhPezsrRXp8EajeHPeSmQTyJhXWeZw_D3jFFpxEApEDhnGtP_tfQDkBdr2N_sxbqIL2WEVW8VEbcrhSBJSG2p9VTmbU4OS7YJsdc96Z83YAIu6E7lSdJH2abPOlMOYib4v/w400-h300/2023%2010%20-%20Colour%20Challenge%20-%20Project%20Front.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I decided to challenge myself to use all five of the colours. With any colour challenge I get out my ink pads or card samples and start to move them around to see how they look together. This combination of colours made me think of flowers, leaves and a clear spring sky. To incorporate three colours into the flowers I used my blending brushes to add the colours in bands onto my stamp, I started with Lemon Lolly on the outer edge, then Berry Burst on the lower edge/centre of the flower; and finally I added Fresh Freesia to the space between the two, overlapping it a little. I then darkened up the centre of the flowers by tapping my Berry Burst Blending Brush onto that part of the stamped image. I love how this turned out. The background is created using a mask and embossing paste coloured with Boho Blue ink. I think this gives the impression of looking through a lattice fence. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVmWISVs8AuLeYyAtYpOVBx8Woh3626OCafJTYlk_yKAUHutxyf7ujCA0gwO7HNI9N6lF9_brN62qBfSMR6psjC4J5V5bmvKa1818BgiCWUO9iBLStmdxqhYBcMcVBGNV141pUlzkkmkYEgjeXBdpyM8kHVzEORl0Xs5ajIDG2rGMyApRt2Re3rD4fsN5C/s1950/2023%2010%20-%20Colour%20Challenge%20-%20Project.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1393" data-original-width="1950" height="286" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVmWISVs8AuLeYyAtYpOVBx8Woh3626OCafJTYlk_yKAUHutxyf7ujCA0gwO7HNI9N6lF9_brN62qBfSMR6psjC4J5V5bmvKa1818BgiCWUO9iBLStmdxqhYBcMcVBGNV141pUlzkkmkYEgjeXBdpyM8kHVzEORl0Xs5ajIDG2rGMyApRt2Re3rD4fsN5C/w400-h286/2023%2010%20-%20Colour%20Challenge%20-%20Project.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I brought the masking into the inside of the card, but this time just with the Blending Brush, using less pressure as I moved away from the corner. I kept to the original layout and other choices except for the embellishments and ribbon. I originally had a Boho Blue ribbon on the card but once I added the copper Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots I thought it would look nicer with Copper Clay ribbon. I think it also breaks up the blues of the card. The background was a bit plain but I didn't want to add too much because of the busy DSP, so I stamped the little cluster of circles from Timeless Arrangements onto it with Versamark. The sentiment and die cut are from Waves of Inspiration stamp set and coordinating dies. The little fronds are a sneak peek from the new mini catalogue a bundle called Translucent Florals. </div></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/"><span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoH0oO_sle2oZ91m0HTs4f0lYGZzNCQU6nN-jh4jCQi8niSAXfZ6TqKFIzjk_vzJzYEFHLCvMqFNsEOeprmUvOtwTXQjdlNP4grvPvu_a1cTeeAPMm3xsmqqe2WdsOmI81twyfELmOwHRP/s200/CTC+-+Join+The+Challenge.jpg" width="200" /></span></a></div>I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the projects in the Love, Thanks & Support section of the Annual Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/" target="_blank">CTC Facebook page</a>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://judymay.typepad.com/just_judy_designs/2023/06/ctc424-love-thanks-support.html" target="_blank"> <span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjapyf6RZFAT6c5uXtFx809nPho5zyS6O9p-y4a-pRIo5hGovHffdwjSKONfYLcVCWdL2gKjrnDmIgg-32ygLo0MfNh7KWa0t3Q52LELweLaK5MUgk4sQUzrPoIoXl8vkf0sjmBr5i09DfhvSpVRDea30VjVqTP4A9FD7zXcyANJj_gEg1vpjlfLnIpDw=w200-h170" width="200" /></span> </a></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Time to hop on over and see what <a href="https://judymay.typepad.com/just_judy_designs/2023/06/ctc424-love-thanks-support.html" target="_blank">Judy </a>has created this week.<br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Happy Stamping</span><br style="text-align: left;" /><span style="text-align: left;">Monique</span></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451618488733459051.post-27920831153768434752023-06-11T19:00:00.008+10:002023-06-11T19:00:00.146+10:00CTC #423 - CASE Fresh As A Daisy DSP<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAoSrtDi1IDLvYsIaaeMvHiILU6Y-S6kysS18rj37UonT7FmO79Ag5N7J4p1-DKMoUxbF0g-arqemSLqZPbMGce5kHuLl7CxPIEGowIUdibj3uXcea85JYaj258u91gFMXks0YsPUhoEdz/s1600/CTC+-+Header.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="393" data-original-width="700" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAoSrtDi1IDLvYsIaaeMvHiILU6Y-S6kysS18rj37UonT7FmO79Ag5N7J4p1-DKMoUxbF0g-arqemSLqZPbMGce5kHuLl7CxPIEGowIUdibj3uXcea85JYaj258u91gFMXks0YsPUhoEdz/s320/CTC+-+Header.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. I went looking on Pinterest for a new technique to try and found the Floating Strips Technique which I thought would be fun to try. It is really quite simple, just cut your DSP into strips, mine are 1/2" and adhere them to a piece of Window Sheet. I used 1/8" strips of cardstock to ensure there was even spacing between the strips, but that is optional (unless you really appreciate even spaces lol). Then I cut the piece of Window Sheet using my Deckled Rectangles dies and adhered to the card using Dimensionals to raise it up off the card front. I found the background DSP using Wild Wheat was a bit dark and heavy for the look of my card, so instead I made my own patterned cardstock by dragging the Wild Wheat ink pad across Basic White cardstock. If you drag quickly you get very feint colour, if you slow down the colour intensifies, I purposefully varied the speed to get a more uneven finish.</div></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/"><span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoH0oO_sle2oZ91m0HTs4f0lYGZzNCQU6nN-jh4jCQi8niSAXfZ6TqKFIzjk_vzJzYEFHLCvMqFNsEOeprmUvOtwTXQjdlNP4grvPvu_a1cTeeAPMm3xsmqqe2WdsOmI81twyfELmOwHRP/s200/CTC+-+Join+The+Challenge.jpg" width="200" /></span></a></div>I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the colours of the Fresh As A Daisy DSP to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/" target="_blank">CTC Facebook page</a>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://stampinstrazds.wordpress.com/2023/06/11/ctc423-fresh-as-a-daisy-dsp-colours/" target="_blank"> <span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="468" data-original-width="550" height="170" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjapyf6RZFAT6c5uXtFx809nPho5zyS6O9p-y4a-pRIo5hGovHffdwjSKONfYLcVCWdL2gKjrnDmIgg-32ygLo0MfNh7KWa0t3Q52LELweLaK5MUgk4sQUzrPoIoXl8vkf0sjmBr5i09DfhvSpVRDea30VjVqTP4A9FD7zXcyANJj_gEg1vpjlfLnIpDw=w200-h170" width="200" /></span> </a></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Time to hop on over and see what <a href="https://stampinstrazds.wordpress.com/2023/06/11/ctc423-fresh-as-a-daisy-dsp-colours/" target="_blank">Michelle </a>has created this week.<br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Happy Stamping</span><br style="text-align: left;" /><span style="text-align: left;">Monique</span></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
