CTC #287 - CASE a Leaf/Tree Mini Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the leaf and tree projects in the Holiday Mini Catalogue.

I was inspired by the cute tags that are part of the Tag Buffet Project Kit on page 5.  I was really surprised how big these tags are and thought they would be fun to re-create with the products I have on hand.

Here are my tags, what do you think?  I did sneak in a retired product with the holly framelits on the leafy tag but I couldn't resist the pop of sparkle that the glimmer paper added to these.  I also used a gold gel pen I had on hand to create the oval behind the Christmas tree.  The are even a good size for attaching a pocket for a gift card on the back!

Now do you remember my project from last week's challenge and how I said it would coordinate with this week's project?  Well here it is with my gift tags inside!  I think this is such a cute way to store these ready for Christmas wrapping, or to give as a gift.  I am certainly going to be making more in the coming weeks.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the tree and leaf samples in Mini Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Rose has created this week.

CTC #286 - CASE an Annual Catalogue Project With a Mini Twist

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from any project in the Annual Catalogue but giving it a Mini Catalogue Twist ... how fun is that!

I was inspired by this cute little gift bag from page 67.  I have a bit of a funny story about this card but I will get to that after I have shown you what I was inspired to create.

I decided to create a 3D project based on the general layout of the original, and couldn't help but use the Heart-warming Hugs DSP which you might have also seen on last week's project.  I really love these traditional Christmas Colours. The tag is from the same product suite's stamp set Wrapped In Christmas and tied up with Real Red Braided Linen Trim.

Now onto my funny story ...

We had a  previous challenge where we were CASING the Ornate Garden Suite I think, and I created this project based on the same catalogue inspiration, but it was before the catalogue was released and we only had a few images from this suite available. When I went to create my blog post I could not find the original image anywhere so had to pull out of the challenge.  I am so glad that I get to show you the project now instead.  This one was of course made with the Peaceful Poppies products.  Now you might be wondering why I haven't added some tissue paper to my project for this week, well you will have to wait until next week's challenge to see why.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the images from the Annual Catalogue as the base for your inspiration and then put a twist on it from the Mini Catalogue. Once you have created your project post a picture of it to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Judy has created this week.

CTC #285 - CASE This Sketch

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the layout of these cards from page 29 of the Mini Catalogue.

I was inspired to use the Heartwarming Hugs DSP, isn't that a great name!  I love all the patterns of this DSP I think the small images in the patterns make it really easy to use. I made my card landscape orientation so I could squeeze in an extra strip of the lovely DSP.  I think this would be a great way to showcase any DSP pack for any occasion not just Christmas. Its a great way to use up small strips of DSP also, for those of us who don't like to throw anything away.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the sketch of the cards on page 29 to inspire your creation, it doesn't have to have a Christmas theme, just use the basic layout, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Siobhan has created this week.

CTC #284 - CASE a Die Bundle Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the Die Bundles on pages 173 to 179 of the Annual Catalogue.

I was inspired by this image from page 179 of the catalogue and is related to the Tasteful Touches Bundle.

My Project for this challenge uses the Boho Indigo Medley and keeps with the general sketch of the original. I love this DSP on the background panel, I think a small print on a DSP is so lovely as a background.  For the flowers I used my Stampin' Blends to colour the cute little fabric and seed-bead flowers that come in the Medley.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the samples in the Die Bundles section of the annual catalogue, pages 173 to 179, to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Peta has created this week.
