CTC #259 - CASE Anything From The Holiday Catalogue

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the whole Holiday Catalogue.

I was inspired the card on page 21, I loved the use of DSP and the layering of the elements around the sentiment.

For my Project for this challenge I just had to use the new products that arrived in my pre-order and do a birthday rather than Christmas theme!  I love the die that creates the swirl behind the sentiment as I am hopeless at twirling ribbon or twine and I think this looks just as good!

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples in the holiday catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Tina has created this week.

CTC #257 - CASEing Kids and Babies

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the Kids & Babies section of the Annual catalogue, pages 98 to 105.

I was inspired by this image from page 102, I liked the soft colours and the cut out leaf stems in the background.

For my card, I decided to do a landscape orientation and changed things up by using a hexagonal layer behind the mamma kangaroo rather than the square in the original. I used the same DPS pack, but chose a different pattern as I liked this one with the touch of stronger blues and greens. The image is coloured with water colour pencils.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the samples in the Kids & Babies section of the catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Michelle has created this week.

CI #68 - Blues and Greens

Welcome to another Colour INKspiration challenge, where we match Stampin' Up! colours to the ones from an inspiration photo, and use them to create our projects.

This beautiful image has the colours: Shaded Spruce, Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock, Coastal Cabana and silver. As usual you can also add any of the basic colours (black, white and vanilla).

I loved this colour combo as the inspiration image was one that I found some time ago and have been very excited to create using these great colours.  I wanted to make a project that is a little different to my usual crations, and started with a 10.5cm x 10.5cm base to my card. I loved the idea of layering silver foil under the base and top layers, off-setting the top layer by 90 degrees.  All of the stamps in this project come from Beauty Abounds.

I hope you are inspired to join in with this challenge, as I mentioned at the start of my post you have three weeks to complete this one, so grab your inks and papers then post a picture of your project to the CI Facebook Page.

Time to hop on over and see what the lovely Nikki has created with the colours.

CTC #256 - Give It a Holiday Twist!

This week the challenge is to take a project from the Annual Catalogue and put a holiday twist on it.

I close this card from page 122, I realised that I haven't used this stamp set in so long and thought it would make a lovely Christmas card.

I added a layer of Vellum behind the die cut pieces and coloured on the back of the vellum with various shades of green and red blends. I kept the embellishments more simple on my version, using the gold edging off the Metallic Edged Ribbon to add a touch of shine.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the samples in the Annual Catalogue as your inspiration, and put a Christmas twist on your version of it, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Sandra has created this week.
