CTC #517 - CASE Your Favourite Mini Catty Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the Jan to Apr Mini Catalogue, so you can choose any of the projects to inspire your creativity.

I was inspired by this card from page 37, I loved the bright airy feel of the card and the layout with two thinner strips of DSP made this one catch my eye.

I have used products from one of the new on-line exclusive suites called Floral Impressions Suite Collection, it has some lovely bright floral DSP with coordinating Dies and stamps.  I did sneak in the twig die cut and sentiment from the Delightful Wishes bundle.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples in the Jan to Apr Mini Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Rebecca has created this week.

CTC #516 - CASE The Annual Catalogue

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from any project from any of the current catalogues, so you have a few to choose from!

I was inspired by this card from page 52 of the Annual Catalogue, it is a bit hard to see as it sits right on the fold, but I love this simple layout for a quick and easy card that shows off our lovely DSP.

I wanted to showcase the new Floral Impressions Suite that is coming in May as an On-Line Exclusive. This DSP has beautiful bright colours and I love this combination, mixing new and old colours together. This is a no-stamping card!  The florals are die cut with the coordinating dies, and the sentiment is from my favourite Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any project in the Annual or Mini catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

CTC #515 - CASEing Easter

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from Easter projects from any catalogue or online exclusive OR create an Easter project taking inspiration from any of the catalogues or online exclusives.

I was inspired by this card from page 26 of the Jan to Apr Mini Catalogue, this is actually one of the few explicitly Easter projects in the catalogues so I decided to use elements of it as inspiration.

Firstly I decided to do minimal stamping, although it ended up being no stamping as I used a pre-printed sentiment.  I wanted to use pre-printed images and chose the ones in the Mixed Media Floral Memories and More pack, pairing them with baskets cut from Woven Textures DSP using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.  To make them more vase like I cut a small section off one side and sponged the edges.  I tried to keep with the idea of a larger and smaller image, and to fit them onto my card it worked better for me to use a portrait orientation.  The cute little ladybirds are also from the M&M pack and make a change from the usual bling-ey embellishments.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use a project to inspire an Easter version, or an Easter project to inspire your creativity ,then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

CTC #514 - CASE A Mini Catty Template

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the project templates on page 12 of the Mini Catalogue.  These are a great source of inspiration if you have some time to craft but are a bit stuck on where to start. If you pick a template and a DSP pack you have the layout and colour combination ready to go.  That is exactly what I did for this challenge, I chose the fourth template from the right on the bottom row, then chose Mixed Media Florals 12x12 DSP.

The only real decision then were which of the DSP patterns and which sentiment to use. The Greetings For All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack made the sentiment choice easy, and gave me the idea to add the Basic Black border under the DSP to really make it pop against the Crushed Curry card base.  The decisions on trim and embellishments were next and I just looked through what I had to find ones that coordinated nicely with the DSP. If you don't have the Greetings For All, it is easy to make your own sentiment labels with the stamps, dies and punches you already own, I usually stamp Memento Black onto Basic White cardstock, but you could do other colour combinations as well, it might just limit the projects you can use them on.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the templates on page 12 of the Mini Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Let's Craft Together Blog Hop - Mother's Day

Welcome to the monthly Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

The challenge this month is to make a Mother's Day card.

For my card I am featuring some new products from the Annual Catalogue that goes live on 6 May, as well as a couple of products from the current catalogue. The sneak peek products are from the Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection and include the lovely floral image, Damask Designs Embossing Folder and coordinating Beautiful Gallery DSP.

I wanted to create the look of a glass dome over the flowers, Beauty and the Beast style. I layered window sheet over the DSP and flowers and created a frame with one of the new In-Colours Secret Sea. I am not sure if it achieved that look exactly but I do love the depth the layers give the finished card. The sentiment is from Greetings For All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

Time to keep on hopping to the next blog by following the link under my name below:
