ctc #362 - CASE This Sketch

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the card sketch from page 71 of the Annual Catalogue

Here it is simplified.

I decided to create a card that is all about self care and treating yourself to some comforts. I decided to use some of the Waves of the Ocean DSP for the background, it reminds me a bit of what the bath looks like when you use a bath-bomb, and a hot bath is one of my favourite ways to relax. The Nothing's Better Than stamp set is full of the comforts of life so was perfect for my project. We have all had the type of days that can be fixed by chocolate, cocktails, tea/coffee and cookies, especially the ones with big chocolate chips in!

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the card sketch from page 71 to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

CTC #361 - CASE An Animal Card

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from any project featuring animals from any of the current catalogues.

After some searching around I decided on this one, I think it was the way the background was created with little images from the stamp set. I know some stamps in my sets never get to see ink so this was a fun way to use more of them.

I had just received my Happy Hedgehogs bundle so thought it would be a cute option for this card, also my husband loves hedgehogs so I made this card for him.  I added some little rhinestones and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples in the new Annual Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

CTC #360 - CASE A Masking Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the projects in the catalogues that use the masking technique. This can be using them any way you like, in fact they don't even need to be masks that are for sale in the catalogue you might like to make your own, that's what I did for this challenge.

I was inspired by this card on page 13 of the Jan to June catalogue. I liked how the little robots were highlighted with colour using the punch to create the mask.

I don't have the robot stamp set so I looked through my stash for a set with nice line drawn images and decided on Nothing's Better Than stamp set, I did keep with the Tailored Tag punch to make my mask and for the main sentiment.  I used three shades of blue/green and used the same colour to stamp the cup and again to sponge over the images using the mask.  My colours were Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Balmy Blue. I finished off the card with some bling from the new Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples in the new Annual Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

CTC359 - Case A Die Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from projects using die cuts so you won't be short on choice for this challenge.

I was inspired by this image from page 24, it made me realise how long it has been since I used the lovely poppies.

Here is my project, I kept the layout the same as the original, but instead of using an embossing folder I used the stitched leaves.  The sentiment is from the SAB stamp set Special Moments, I love the variety of sentiments in this set and can see myself using it for quite some time.  I also added some Genial Gems to the sentiment panel.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples in the new Annual Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.
