CTC #412– Case Mini Catalogue Sketch

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the card sketch on page 38 of the Mini Catalogue.

I am still using my on-line exclusive Irresistible Blooms bundle and coordinating DSP, and chose two of the DSP patterns that are a little more muted. I thought the sunflower from Celebrate Sunflowers would be the perfect pop of colour on the card and I am so happy with how it turned out. I stamped in Soft Suede and coloured with a combination of Daffodil Delight, So Saffron and Mellon Mambo Stampin' Blends, then added some extra shading and highlights with my Watercolour Pencils.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples using the sketch from the card on page 38 to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Michelle has created this week.

CTC #411 - CASE A Colouring Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from projects from either catalogue that use a colouring technique.  That's right, any colouring technique it could be using Watercolour Pencils, or Re-Inkers; and that's only a few of the options!

I was inspired by this card from page 21 of the Mini Catalogue which uses Blending Brushes to create a soft background panel.

I chose a piece of retired cardstock from my stash and used it to create the tag on the front of my card rather than doing a full panel on the front, I have kept to the same shape for the sentiment, but used one from my new favourite bundle from the online exclusives Irresistible Blooms.  The large flowers are cut from the Sale-A-Bration DSP Favoured Flowers.  I did think about stamping and colouring these myself but I love the dark edges around the DSP flowers.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples using a colouring technique to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Kathryn created this week.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Favourite Bundle

Welcome to Paper Crafting Blog Hop where talented Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all across the world create projects for you using current Stampin' Up! products.  This month we are featuring our favourite bundles from either of the current catalogues, and the on-line exclusives recently added to the on-line store.

For my project I chose the Irresistible Blooms Bundle from the On-Line Exclusives.  I love the floral images and the fonts used in the sentiments, as well as the coordinating die cuts. This bundle is part of a collection that also includes coordinating DSP and Embellishments.

I went on a stamp camp recently and learned how to make a Seagull Fold Card, and decided it would be perfect to showcase the Irresistible Blooms Bundle. I love the soft colours of these DSP sheets, and that the flowers and leaves on this card have been cut from the DSP using the dies in the bundle. It makes creating a coordinating card so easy!

Here is a top view of the card, you can see how the "wings" of the card fold in so it is flat for posting.

One of the ladies at the stamp camp made an addition to the card, which originally just had a flat front, and I thought it would be a great way to use the window die.
