CTC #420 - CASE a New Colour Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the projects that use the new colours, including core colours and in-colours.

I was inspired by this card from page 17 of the Annual Catalogue. I was drawn to the simple lines of the card and of course the pretty Boho Blue.

As much as I love Boho Blue, I decided to shake things up a bit and use two of the new colours that are returning In-Colours, Lucky Limeade and Berry Burst. These were two of my go-to colours when they were with us previously and I love how bright and fresh they are.  The DSP is from Stargazing, I love its bubbly pattern, I wanted to show that this DSP is for more than just space themed projects.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use projects that feature the new colours to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Michelle has created this week.

CTC #419 - CASE A Love Project

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from any of the "Love" themed projects from the Annual Catalogue. As an option, with Mother's Day being the day of the hop, you can make your project a Mother's Day project.

I was inspired by this card from page 37  of the Annual Catalogue. I liked the simplicity of the design, a base card with two simple layers.

I was planning on re-creating this card keeping to the existing layout very closely, but as the creative juices began to flow I changed the orientation of the card and used the Sentimental Park dies for the sentiment panel. I wanted to keep with soft colours, and the Hello Irresistible DSP and coordinating colours.  I did have to reach into one of my retired stamp sets for the "Love you" sentiment.  The card is finished off with gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples with a Love theme to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what lovely project Katheryn has created this week.

CTC #418 - CASE The New Annual Catalogue

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from any of the images in the new Annual Catalogue!

I was inspired by this project, from page 97 of the Annual Catalogue. I love the embossed image and the strips of colour, I thought it would be a great way to show off the new In-Colours.

Instead of sponging colour onto the embossed image, I used strips of cardstock for the background. I kept the sentiment simple like the original using Very Best Occasions and embellished with 2023-2025 In-Colour Dots. Boy does it seem strange to say 2025!!! The embossing folder I used coordinates with the Countryside Inn Collection, Countryside Blossoms.

I used regular Very Vanilla for the card base, I thought it looked less stark than using Basic White.  Because of this I needed to reinforce the card to give it a bit more structure so I added a cardstock layer and another layer of Very Vanilla on the inside.  I stamped the floral image from Timeless Arrangements, I know you are going to see this bundle used a LOT on my projects as it is so versatile for adding cute little leaf and floral images.   I finished off the inside with a thin strip of Moody Mauve cardstock.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples in the new Annual Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.
