CTC #135 - Holidays

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty, I am not sure about you but these weeks are going by faster and faster the older I get!

This week we are looking at the Holiday section of the catalogue, pages 112 -125. It is fitting really as we just passed the "six months until Christmas" this last week! So not too soon to start thinking about Christmas projects at all.

I took my inspiration from the image on page 114 of the catalogue, I think it grabbed my attention because I hadn't thought about using the Window Box Thinlits for Christmas Projects.

I decided to play around with adding panels to the sides of the box rather than stamp directly on the box. I chose the lovely new Tranquil Tide for the project, don't you think it contrasts beautifully with Very Vanilla. I used the Peace This Season stamp set which I embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. The new Metallic-Edge Ribbon adds a luxurious feel to the box with it's satin finish and beautiful gold edges.

The sides of the box I used alternating panels which I stamped and embossed then cut out with the second smallest Stitched Shapes Framelits which coordinate perfectly with the window box. I can't wait to fill this little cutie with Christmas treats for someone special.

I hope you will consider joining in the challenge this week, just use the Stampin' Up! Catalogue holiday section to inspire your creation and add a photograph to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over to see what the lovely Julia has created this week.

Happy Stamping
Monique
