Stampin' Up! ® has just had a major colour revamp so to start off the new catalogue year at Colour INKspiration we've decided to feature a Colour Collection for the first challenge each month (2nd Wednesday) until we have showcased them all! The second challenge in the month (4th Wednesday) will be a Pinterest inspired pic as per usual just to mix it up a bit.
This month we are starting off with the NEUTRALS COLLECTION and you can choose any 3 colours from that range for your challenge project. We are also changing the rules about what else you can add to the mix; essentially just the Basics - Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as metallics.
I love that the new range of neutrals include Night of Navy, Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow - although I have to admit I keep looking for my Navy with my Regals! I decided to use Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso for my three colours this week, adding some Copper thread and foil to give it a pop. There is only a little bit of Navy, using it with my Blender Pen to colour my bird and for the sentiment.
I love these leaf stamps from the Rooted in Nature set and how easy it is to make a background in coordinating colours. I added a layer of Vellum to soften the look and added two more layers of vellum behind the Mossy Meadow frame after twining the branch through it. This allows the bird to pop out just a little bit more. I am loving how frames look on the front of a card, and think I have officially entered my "frames" phase!
Time to head over to see what Jackie has created this week.
Happy Stamping
Monique
love the vellum over the stamping- makes it so beautiful, and your branch threaded through the frame is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis is really Lovely Monique. The soft background stamping and lovely panel detail works beautifully with the neutrals.xx
ReplyDeleteLove the leafy background and the cute bird in the frame. Great layout and use of the colours.
