CTC #195 - Festive Farmhouse

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where we take a look at one of the sections of a current Stampin' Up! catalogue and use the projects within it to inspire our own creations.

This week we are taking inspiration from the Festive Farmhouse section of the Holiday Catalogue, pages 12 - 17.

I chose the cards in the above image from page 12, using the general layout of the one on the left, and the colours of the one on the right.

I just love my Stamparatus, it made lining up the holy images on the top and bottom of my card so easy, and you wouldn't know they had been stamped multiple times and not a single stamp.  The first layer of DSP is from Tranquil Textures, and in keeping with the stitched oval for the main sentiment I used a Stampin' Write Marker to add some faux stitching to the edges. The next layer is from Dashing Along a lovely DSP pack that hostesses can earn through  the month of September. The main sentiment and holy stamps are from Peaceful Poinsettia which has some lovely images and sentiments and a coordinating Framelit which makes it a perfect bundle for Christmas.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the samples in the All Is Bright section of the catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Peta has created this week.

Happy Stamping
Monique

  6. Lovely card, Monique. I think I need a lesson on the Stamparatus to achieve that close spacing of the holly on edges!
