CTC #213 - Floral Romance

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where we take a look at one of the sections of a current Stampin' Up! catalogue and use the projects within it to inspire our own creations.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the Floral Romance section of the Occasions Catalogue, pages 10 - 13.

I was inspired by two images from this section, the card on the left from page 10 for the layout, and the bright butterfly card on the right from page 13 for the colour scheme.

I started with a base of Granny Apple Green and used my Blends to colour vellum in the same colour before cutting them out with framelits. The little flowers are stamped in Melon Mambo and coloured with Lovely Lipstick Blends.  I was planning on using more of the pinks in my project, but decided I liked it with just a hint of pink.

I love wax seal element from the original card and decided to try and create one of my own with Copper Embossing Powder and the little butterfly stamp.  It didn't turn out quite like I was hoping so I cut the butterfly out with my punch and used it as a cute little embellishment instead. I love how this turned out, what do you think?
I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the samples in the Floral Romance section of the catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Simone has created this week.

Happy Stamping
Monique
