Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where we take our inspiration from the projects in one of the sections in a current Stampin' Up! catalogue and use it as the basis of our own creations each week.
This week we are being inspired by the Nature's Poem section of the Annual Catalogue, pages 142 - 153.
I love this suite of products so it wasn't hard for me to find my inspiration on the first page, this cute little gift package on page 142.
I used the cute little Kraft Pillow Boxes and stamped directly on it with the big oak tree from Rooted in Nature using Early Espresso as I wanted the tree to stand out more than the original. I changed up the DSP and twin colours but otherwise kept my project fairly close to the original.
I received my pre-order from the new Holiday Catalogue this week and was inspired to make another gift box with a Christmas theme. For this one I used a combination of the new Joyous Noel Specialty DSP which has beautiful copper foil in one side of each of the sheets of DSP. The little tag is made using my faviourite bundle in the catalogue Tags & Tidings, one stamp to make 16 cute little tags, what's not to love? Enhancing the tag are stamped and die cut elements from Peaceful Poinsettia bundle with a few pearls coloured with Stamin' Blends. The focal tree image is from another Holiday catalogue set which has been created to coordinate with Rooted in Nature and Lovely as a Tree sets!
I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just make a project inspired by the amazing samples in the Nature's Poem and add a picture of it to the CTC Facebook Page.
Happy Stamping
Monique
