ESAD Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

Welcome to another ESAD Blog Hop, this one is for another look at the wonderful Sale-A-Bration products before they go for good at the end of the month.  These are a great range of products that you can earn for free with every $90 for level 1 or $180 for level 2. There have been three releases now of Sale-A-Bration products so the easiest way to see is to have a look in the on-line store. If you don't already have a demonstrator you can find a link to my store on the upper left had side of my blog.

For the blog hop today I wanted to show you an alternative use for this great kit that is a level 1 item from the first flyer. At the time of writing this post these are still available for purchase in the South Pacific, but availability for all SAB items is "while stocks last" so don't delay.

I was looking for a way to use the products in this cute little kit in an alternative way and decided they would be perfect for making a desk caddy.  To start I took the little insert and fussy cut out the flowers to adhere to the front of the caddy,  for mine I covered up the holes as I didn't want to add the twine bow.  I then adhered the letter piece into the slot, making sure it sat under the top of the base piece to reduce the chance of it getting damaged during use of the caddy.

The caddy at the back was created by making a simple box from a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock measuring 6-1/2" x 9".  Score 1-1/2" on each of the long sides, and at 3-3/4" and 5-1/4" as per above diagram. Then burnish each score line and trim on the blue lines and bring together to make the box.

Before adhering the box to the back of the caddy I then trimmed off the back flap of the card and kept for another project.  If you look closely, you can also see that I added a piece of cardstock to separate the box into compartments. You could add additional separators or make the box at the back bigger to meet your own requirements.

Here you can see the separator a little bit more easily, the piece I used measures 2" scored at 1/4" from each end. The length of the piece isn't really important and can be the whole height of the box (3-1/2") or as little as 1".

I hope you are enjoying the blog hop, and are inspired by all the projects by the ESAD Demonstrators. Time now to hop on over and see what Lisa has created.
