CTC #329 - CASE the Mini Catalogue Cover

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the cover of the new Mini Catalogue which goes 'live' on Monday 2 August. This mini catalogue is formally known as the July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue, but for me it will remain the "Holiday Catalogue" or "Holiday Mini", the other is just too big a mouthful! All that being said it is a great catalogue, and at 80pages including the covers, is far from "mini", it has so many new products and I can't wait for more of our challenges to CASE some of the inside pages.   But for now all we can show is the cover, so the challenge this week is to CASE the project on the front of the catalogue.

The project on the front of the catalogue is actually a new Kraft Gift Box which has a cute little window in the top and is perfect for treats as well as card sets as they fit our C6 envelopes.  I was inspired by the colour and the window of these boxes in my project and used the Merriest Moments Bundle which has a stamp set, dies as well as an embossing folder which makes it so versatile. On my project I have embossed the image onto the front panel and then used one of the coordinating dies to cut the rectangle window in the card and panel.  The sentiment from the bundle is stamped on the inside of the card and can be seen through the window.

The cute poinsettias are also from the bundle and are embellished using new Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots which can be found on page 55 of the Mini Catalogue, and come in Bronze, Copper and Gold. You can see the lovely embossed section of the card in this picture as well as how the window to the inside of the card looks.  I did think about decorating further inside, however I usually like to write a bit of a longer message in my Christmas cards so left it fairly clear.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples in the new Annual Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Julia has created this week.

Happy Stamping

  1. Oh, I love this so much! The embossed front is wonderful, and the poinsettias are the perfect embellishment. The window through to the sentiment was a great idea!

  2. Great job using the window of the Kraft boxes as a main feature on your card. Love how you stamped the sentiment on the inside of your card so it peeks through the window and the embossed front.

  3. Fabulous CASE, Monique. Love the window and the greeting on the inside.

  4. Oh I LOVE this idea with the frame and window cut out for the greeting inside. Perfect! I'd love to CASE this if I could? Brilliant.

  5. I love how the sentiment is actually on the inside of the card!

I love reading your comments, thanks for taking the time to write them.
