Mid-Week Stamping Challenge

Between loads of washing today I found some time to do a little bit of crafting, so I went looking for inspiration from some of the challenge blogs I follow. I found this interesting challenge from Try Stamping On A Tuesday.  I was really drawn to the sketch and wanted to try something a bit interesting with it.

I used the On-line exclusive Hello Irresistible Bundle to create the feature panel and semi circle.  I started by lining the centre of the swirly circle die up with the edge of the DSP panel. I then cut a second swirly circle from Copper Metallic Foil by lining the centre of the die with the edge of the foil piece. I then lined this up with the DSP piece on the card.  The sentiment is from Waves of Inspiration.

CTC #414 - CASE Favourite Retiring Bundle

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from any of the retiring bundles from either catalogue. If you aren't sure what is retiring, check out the on-line store and look under sales and specials.

I am pretty lucky in that the bundles that I would consider my favourites either aren't retiring, or are no longer bundles as they have been around for a few catalogues. So I went looking for an interesting sketch using one of the retiring bundles, and this one caught my eye. It is on page 79 of the January to April Mini Catalogue. I liked the way the DSP on the right panel is cut into pieces to create interest.

I wanted to use DSP that had patterns and colours that coordinated well together so chose the On-Line Exclusive Hello Irresistible Suite Collection. This is my favourite suite at the moment, can you believe the only stamped part of this card is the sentiment?  The flowers and leaves are cut from the sheets of DSP using the coordinating dies. Once I decided what I wanted to do the actual construction of the card was so easy.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples using your favourite retiring bundle to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Julia has created this week.

CTC #413 - CASE A Favourite Retiring Product

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

With the release of the Last Chance Lists, over the next few weeks we will be featuring some of our favourites that will be retiring at the end of the month. This week we are taking inspiration from any of the products that are retiring.  I couldn't limit it to just one see how many you can pick on my card.

I was inspired by this card from page 86 of the Annual Catalogue, while the dies featured on this card aren't my favourite, I am a bit sad that I have only just bought them and haven't had chance to use them much before they are gone for good.

Once I got started I kept finding products that I am really going to miss when they are gone at the end of the month.  There are eight retiring products, and one that has already retired.  They are: Copper Foil Paper, Lovely You and Painted Poppies stamp sets, Split Card Textures Dies, Lovely Labels Punch, Linen Thread, Texture Chic DSP, and my favourite colour for a long time Evening Evergreen Cardstock.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the samples using your favourite retiring product to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Peta has created this week.
