CTC #89 - Christmas

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty, this week we are re-visiting the Christmas section of the Annual Catalogue.  I just love Christmas, and have just held my Christmas in July class so I am feeling very very Christmassy right now.

I took my inspiration from the image above, the cute gift box with the wreath.

Instead of a box, I used the inspiration image to create this card. I used layers of the biggest "swirl" from Swirly Birds Thinlets to create the wreath and give it more dimension and depth.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, I learned this weekend that the Thoughtful Banners stamp set has a little border for the new Classic Label which works perfectly with Teeny Tiny Sentiments and gives them a lovely finish.

Time for you to join in the fun, by taking inspiration from the Christmas section of the catalogue and uploading a picture of your creation to the above link to our monthly challenge page.

Time to hop on over and see how Jackie has been inspired.

Happy Stamping

  1. Oh my goodness. I didn't even see this gift box. I love what you have done there in creating a card using non Christmas stamp sets! The paper is gorgeous too.

  2. I love your wreath Monique, have thought that would be a great use for the swirl Thinlits so it's nice to see it put together. Neat trick with combining the two stamp sets. Teeny Tiny Sentiments is still a fave! Thanks for the inspiration

  3. Love the opportunities that CASE-ing gives to highlight these un-noticed background delights. Thebox translated beautifully into your card, Monique.

  4. Oooh, I love the way you've created your wreath. Very clever!

  5. Gee Monique I didn't even notice that box! I love your card, and my all time favourite thing is wreaths! I especially love yours and how you have used the Swirly Bird dies, must case your case lol!

  6. Stunning card Monique. I had overlooked this DSP, but I think I'm going to have to get some for Christmas classes! Kelly x

  7. Lovely Christmas wreath Monique! Very clever. The two colours give the wreath a wonderful sense of depth.

  8. Great card, love the idea of using the Swirly Bird die as a wreath.

I love reading your comments, thanks for taking the time to write them.
