CTC #219 - Gingham Gala

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where we take a look at one of the sections of a current Stampin' Up! catalogue and use the projects within it to inspire our own creations.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the Gingham Gala section of the Occasions Catalogue, pages 34 - 37.

I was inspired by the card in the lower right of above image from 36. The cut out layer reminded me a bit of the net from Sea of Textures Bundle so I wanted to incorporate that in my card.

Sea of Textures is another bundle that I haven't used in a while and this time around I decided to pair the cute little octopus with one of the fun sentiments from the Part of My Story SAB stamp set. I wish I had a wine glass stamp that I could have added to his raised tentacle as I think that would have been quite fun.  I have to be honest, I think this card needs a little something but I couldn't work out what and everything I tried didn't look right so I left it fairly plain and simple.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the samples from the Gingham Gala section of the catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Judy has created this week.

Happy Stamping
Monique
