CTC #471 - CASE A Sketch From Page 22

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the sketches on page 22 of the Annual Catalogue. If you aren't sure what this means, at the bottom of page 22 of the Annual Catalogue there are 22 images of card layouts, or sketches.  These are a great place to start if you are stuck for ideas.

This is a look at just that section of the page.  These sketches are all for portrait orientated cards, but that's ok, it is easy enough to take one of these layouts and just make it in landscape orientation instead. That's what I have done this week.

I chose this sketch, I mentally number these 1 to 22 right to left, top row then bottom row, so this one is sketch #3.

I love how this card turned out, and it was very simple to make.  I wanted to have a striking combination of black, gold and white, and was initially just going to have the flowers in black and white, but I decided on a pop of colour and am pleased with that decision.  The panels are cut from one half of a card from the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes pack, I flipped the middle one's orientation to add more interest to the card. Some black twine and Matte Black Dots finished off this striking card.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the sketches on page 22to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Courtenay Courtenay has created this week.

Happy Stamping
