CTC #503 - CASE The Scrapbooking Brochure

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the on-line scrapbooking brochure that went live in early January 2025. There are some great products in the brochure that are great for not just scrapbooking, but cardmaking and 3D project as well, some are designed to coordinate in our other product offerings, so be sure to check them out.

Scrapbooking Brochure page 18

I was inspired by this page layout card from page 18 of the Scrapbooking Brochure. It was initially the colours that drew me into this project I absolutely love them and am going to be getting the stamp and die bundle, the DSP pack and maybe even the two-tone coordinating cardstock. Now not being much of a scrapper lately I wanted to use the two non-photo sections of this layout to inspire two cards.

My first task was to select the DSP I wanted to use, and went with Timeless Plaid and Thoughtful Journey, which are not two DSP packs I would have thought might go together! My cards are 10.5cm x 10.5cm so I cut a 10cm square from each sheet of DSP then cut them in half diagonally.

My first card uses the layout from the bottom left of the scrapbook page, and along with the two DSP triangles I added a circle of Thoughtful Designs Specialty DSP and another circle in Misty Moonlight stamped with the image from Rest Relax Enjoy stamp set.  I finished off with a little bling from the Two-Toned Sparkle Gems which coordinate perfectly with the pinks and blues in my card.

My second card uses the layout from the top right of the page, and some more of the Thoughtful Designs Specialty DSP.  The sentiment is from So Sincere and is embellished with two pieces from the Mixed Media Florals Memories and More Card Pack, the little blue circle is stamped in Misty Moonlight using a small flower from the SAB stamp set Corner in Bloom.  I am really happy with how both of these cards turned out.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the online scrapbooking brochure to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Julia has created this week.

Happy Stamping
Monique
