Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.
This week we are taking our inspiration from the projects in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue and all the projects within its pages.
I was inspired by this image from page 15, I loved the simplicity of this card and how wonderfully it shows of our lovely DSP.
My Project for this challenge I chose the pretty floral DSP from the Paper Blooms pack, adding some Night of Navy ribbon from Boho Indigo Medley. Keeping the layout simple I added a sentiment from So Sentimental. This was such an easy card to create, and I had some spare crafting time on my hands so decided to make a second stepped-up card.
I kept the DSP as the focal point of the card but cut it slightly smaller than the card-front so a layer of Night of Navy frames it. The sentiment is also the same but I have added some sparkle with gold thread from the Forever Greenery Trim as well as my new favourite Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the samples in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.
Time to hop on over and see what Lauren has created this week.
Happy Stamping
Monique
I really love the boho ribbon with this gorgeous paper, and I loooove the gold elements too! Both of the cards are just stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThey are both very pretty. I prefer the one on the left.
ReplyDeleteLovely quick to creat cards Monique. Both great but if I have to pick I like the framed one
ReplyDeleteOooh, that's so hard to pick a favourite! The DSP is gorgeous, and I love both of the ribbon/trims you've chosen to layer under the sentiment. It's a tie!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous Monique but my favourite is the stepped up version.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards to show off the DSP
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite is the one with the border but they are both showing off the dsp perfectly!
