CTC #479 - CASE Mediterranean Blooms Suite

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the Mediterranean Blooms Suite projects featured on page 34 of the Annual Catalogue.  I absolutely love this suite, although I wasn't sure when I first saw it in the catalogue, however I won the DSP from the suite in a Prize Patrol at On Stage and that really drew me in to buy the dies and stamps as well.

I have made a few cards using the orange stamps, so this challenge has inspired me to CASE this card and focus on using the frame and leaves pieces from the die set.

I have just received my Seasons of Green and Gold Suite Collection that is part of the Online Exclusive offerings at the moment, so decided to use the layout to create a Christmas card.  This suite has such lovely DSPs in it and I have used three of the designs on this card. The sentiment is from Greetings of the Season stamp set that is also part of this collection.  I cut the Basic White banner to 0.9cm and by doing so was able to stamp just the "Holiday Season" line from a much larger stamp.

To create a wintery feel (it is cold here in Australia at the moment) I added some Pearlised Enamel Effects Basic White to the centre leaf die cut. I let that dry and then added some berry clumps with the Real Red Enamel Effects, it gave me the subtle result I was after, though I need some practice with consistent berry sizes!

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use projects featured as part of the Mediterranean Blooms Suite Collection on page 34 to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Rebecca has created this week.

Happy Stamping
Monique
