CTC #484 - CASE The Annual Catalogue

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from any of the projects in the Annual Catalogue!!!  How exciting is that, there are so many to choose from from colour combinations to layouts, cards to gift packaging! What will you choose?

This card from page 111 of the catalogue caught my eye, I love these cards and envelopes and have not used them enough.  I also love the simple elegance of a gold and white card where the interest is added with texture and layers.

For my card I used the floral image and sentiment from Thoughtful Expressions, both stamped in VersaMark and embossed in gold (thought it is hard to see that from the photo).  I added these to one of the circles from Spotlight on Nature and layered them all over the botanical die cut leaves from Mediterranean Blooms.  I did cut the die cut in half so I could position the leaves better, the cut is well hidden by the other layers.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use any of the projects in the Annual Catalogue to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Julia has created this week.

Happy Stamping

CTC #481 - CASE This Sketch

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the card sketch on page 25 of the Annual Catalogue, it is also featured with the sketches on page 22.
Here is the sketch simplified down to its core elements.

For this challenge I used some of my own DSP created at a recent team meeting, it was so much fun to make. I just chose some floral and leaf stamps in various sizes and some splodge stamps to use as fillers.  I made this one on an A4 piece of Basic White cardstock so I have heaps left for other projects.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the sketch to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what Courtenay has created this week.

Happy Stamping
