CTC #527 - CASE A Project Featuring DSP

Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from projects featuring DSP from the Annual Catalogue, and boy do we have some beautiful DSP in this catty!

I was inspired by this card from page 58 of the Annual Catalogue, part of the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. I loved the simplicity of this layout and almost chose it for the Kintsugi Inspirations CASE challenge!

I used the Floral Impressions DSP as the basis for this card, as it has such pretty papers, and the best part is the "b" side of each sheet has a small colour on colour print that coordinates beautifully with the "a" side. So it was easy to choose patterns for this card.  Then it was easy to stamp flowers in coordinating colours using Impressions in Bloom stamp set.  In a nod to the original card I cut the sentiment using the Kintsugi Inspiration label. I finished off with 2025-2027 In-Colour Flat Pearls and a couple of thin strips of Gold Foil Sheets.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use projects featuring DSP to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.

Time to hop on over and see what the talented Peta has created this week.

Let's Craft Together Blog Hop - Rustic Style

Welcome to the monthly Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

The challenge this month is to make a card in the Rustic style, which tends to be characterised by natural, organic, distressed or aged elements. I always reach for earthy tones for rustic cards and often distress the edges or crumple elements on the card.

For this challenge I thought the Country Woods DSP pack would be great to have as my starting point. I decided to create a frame by using my trimmer to cut a rectangle from the centre and raising it on Dimensionals.  The flower images are stamped in Saddle Brown StazOn ink and coloured with my Blender Pen picking up small amounts of Pecan Pie for the petals, and Crumb Cake for the leaves. I purposefully kept the embellishments to a minimum, only using two of the Loose Frosted Dots coloured with Dark Crumb Cake Blends.

Time to hop onto the next blog in the list below and see what the rest of the team have created for this Rustic Style Challenge.
