I wanted to do another challenge or two (or three) so went searching, and found the Colour Q challenge for the week and almost freaked out - look at all those pinks ... and I am not a pink girl so I knew it would in fact be a challenge. To help out I went in search of a sketch and the Mojo Monday seemed just the thing, its a bit of a quirky sketch but caught my eye and a plan started to form in my mind. I had planned to also do the Just Add Ink challenge this week as a farewell to the lovely Danielle and Amanda who are stepping down from hosting this great site. I haven't entered much but I have often visited for inspiration so wanted to join in with their Just Add Love challenge.
This is the card I came up with, not tooo pink, but I did manage to put all three pinks on the card - one is a very thin border or Pretty in Pink around the Pink Pirouette layer. The triangle piece is from the Blushing Bride, and I have stamped it in Blushing Bride ink with the biggest of the Sweet Summer stamps and then spritzed with Champagne Shimmer Mist. The Crumb Cake base I did the same thing with and it's easier to see the stamping on it, maybe because I didn't spritz! The ribbon is the White Organza that I have ruffled up. The flower stamps are all from the Sweet Summer Sale-A-Bration set which is totally free with any purchase of $100 of any current Stampin' Up! products! The sentiment is from the Well Scripted a set in the current Mini Catalogue, and I finished this off with 3 sizes of self-adhesive pearls available in the main Idea Book and Catalogue. Over all I was really happy with this card, not to pink and girly but soft and feminine instead. Thanks for visiting my blog.
