Welcome to another CASE-ing the Catty blog hop, this week we are taking inspiration from the Birthday Bouquet section of the catalogue, pages 8-15. This is a great section of the catalogue, there are so many great projects to take inspiration from.
I love taking inspiration from a project and making a similar but different project from it. This time I have chosen the bag on page 8, and center in the picture above, and turned it into a card.

I have used the Have a Cuppa DSP which gives it a brighter more fun feel I think. I added one of the cute little Bow Paper Clip Embellishments, I love how the Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon looks tucked behind the bow. The stamped images are from the SAB set you can earn for free called Honeycomb Happiness which has been developed to match with the super cute little Honeycomb Embellishments from the Occasions Catalogue. This is the Blushing Bride one which I have sponged using Melon Mambo to give it some extra depth and give it a bright look to match the DSP. You can see this a bit better in the next picture.
One of the great things about the 6" x 6" DSP Stacks is that not only do you get an option as to whether to use the DSP on a portrait or landscape card, you also get little off-cuts. Now I am one who hates to waste beautiful paper so try and use it where I can. Here you can see I have added a small off-cut to the bottom of the tag which gives it a little more of a finished look.
I have also added a strip to the inside panel of the card. I never used to add a panel inside, but I think it gives cards a nicer look, especially when you can add some DSP or stamping to tie it in with the front of the card. Such a great way to use up the left over pieces of DSP!
Thanks for visiting, if you would like to join in this week just create your project taking any sort of inspiration from the Birthday Bouquet section of the Occasions Catalogue, p8-15, and link it up to the main CTC Blog. We have one link up for the whole month of February and will then chose a top pick from all the entries in the month, so don't feel lost when the link takes you to the Valentine's blog hop.
I am the last blog in the hop this week, so you can either hop to the main CTC Blog, or follow the link below to the first blog if you are still hopping your way around and see what Kathryn has created this week.
