CI #37 - Brights

Welcome to another Colour INKspiration Challenge, where we usually match Stampin' Up! colours from a photographic image and use them in our creations each challenge. However as Stampin' Up! have just done a colour re-vamp we are using every second challenge to look at one of the new colour families.

For this challenge we are looking at the new collection of Brights, don't worry, you only have to choose three of them to use in the challenge!  You can add one of the new Basics: Black, White or Vanilla to your combo.

I knew I wanted to use two of the new colours in this collection, Mango Melody and Gorgeous Grape, and used them as my starting point. I initially thought I would add Granny Apple Green to the mix but changed that out for Coastal Cabana once I was putting the card together.

Interestingly I found the colours a bit bright for the softer feel of the card so added a layer of vellum over the sponged wings of the butterfly. But the butterfly was then a bit too soft and lost on the die cut flowers, so to give it some definition I added two more layers of Whisper White and hand cut a solid butterfly from Basic Black.

I hope you are inspired to join us in this challenge and explore the wonderful new Brights colour collection. Just add a picture of your project to the CI Facebook Page

Time to hop on over and see what the lovely and talented Kelly has created with these colours.

Happy Stamping
Monique
