Card Swap Chain Series 2 - Featuring Nancy

Back in April we started our second series of the Card Swap Chain, arranged by the lovely Tracy Held. The idea is the we each made a card and sent it to another person in the chain, who would CASE it and send it on to the next person. Once we had all CASEd the card the final version came home to the original creator.  Now its time to share the journeys each of our cards went on with a series of blog hops, where the hop will be in the order of the card's journey.

The chain started with this card from Nancy, such a great way to showcase different DSP sheets.

If you are hopping along you will know that my card is the last one in the chain! The biggest difference is the orientation from landscape to portrait, and while the layers have changed a little from the first card, you can clearly see how they are related. I think its a fun coincidence that Nancy and I both used Night of Navy as the base of our cards, and both have a more masculine theme.

Card Swap Chain Series 2 - Featuring Me!

The chain started with my card! I decided to use one of the sketches from page 22 of the Annual Catalogue, I am absolutely loving these sketches which help as a great kicking off point for a new card.  I also thought it would be fun to see at the end how many of the elements make it through to the end of the chain.  Let me know which of the elements you think will make it all the way to the final card.

Card Swap Chain Series 2 - CASEing Kayla

Back in April we started our second series of the Card Swap Chain, arranged by the lovely Tracy Held. The idea is the we each made a card and sent it to another person in the chain, who would CASE it and send it on to the next person. Once we had all CASE'd the card the final version came home to the original creator.  Now its time to share the journeys our cards went on. Each hop will start with the original creator so we would recommend you start the hop at the beginning to see how the card progressed. There is al list of the blogs at the end of this post.

The first one for this round is from the lovely Kayla, who started the round with this stunningly vibrant card.  Often ocean scenes have blues and greens, especially in the background and I love how Kayla has used the warmer tones on her card.

My card was fourth in the progress of this CASE, and I am happy to see some of the key elements are following through, the overall layout, folded corner and embossed background are all present.  What has changed are the colours, with my choice of more botanical colours of greens, browns and pinks.

Time to keep hopping to see how Kayla's design progressed through the process.

Card Swap Chain Series 2: CASEing Genna

Back in April we started our second series of the Card Swap Chain, arranged by the lovely Tracy Held. The idea is the we each made a card and sent it to another person in the chain, who would CASE it and send it on to the next person. Once we had all CASEd the card the final version came home to the original creator.  Now its time to share the journeys each of our cards went on with a series of blog hops, where the hop will be in the order of the card's journey.

The first one is featuring the card Genna started off her round with, this  lovely layout is so versatile and easy to replicate for any occasion.

If you are hopping along you will know that my card is the 7th along, so toward the end of the hop so it is nice to see that the main elements of the card have carried through. The biggest difference is that the main panel on Genna's card has a slight tilt to it. Let me know in the comments if you see any other layout changes.

Time to keep hopping to see how my card was interpreted by Sharni.
