Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page.

This week we are taking inspiration from the colours in the Scenic Coast DSP, these are Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry, Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. These are some bold colours together and I wanted to find a way to show them off to good effect.

I decided to "cheat" and include a sheet of the Scenic Coast DSP, but used it in a slightly different way, turning it on its side and trimming a strip off the bottom and re-attaching. By doing this it disguises the sunset/rise appearance of the DSP and creates an interesting background, I don't think you would know the left panel is supposed to be waves unless you had seen the original sheet. I went searching for a floral image that would allow me to use all of the colours and the Fragrant Layers was perfect, I used blending brushes to add Strawberry Slush and Crushed Curry to the small buds, and both shads of purple to the larger flowers, although it is difficult to tell with the distinctive style of the flowers. I stamped the outline in Blueberry Bushel and coloured the leaves Balmy Blue, because who says leaves can't be blue! I really loved how this looks even though not traditional leaf colours!
I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the colours of the Scenic Coast DSP to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page.
Time to hop on over and see what Peta has created this week.
Happy Stamping
