Valentine's Day Card

This is the card I made with love for my hubby for Valentine's Day.  I knew when I saw the chocolate hearts that I would use the Loads Of Love stamp set for this card.  I was going to wait until Monday to post, but it is also an entry in a couple of challenges.  My second entry in Just Add Ink - Just Add Love, and the Fussy and Fancy Friday - Sweet Treats challenge, adding something edible to the project, and the chocolate heart certainly fits this!  Though the card might be a bit more masculine than usually found at Fussy and Fancy!

I just love the Loads of Love stamp set, have from the first moment I set eyes on it, I just don't get it out very often.  I was so pleased the little truck was just the right size to carry the chocolate heart to my hubby!  I watercoloured the truck in Soft Suede and Cajun Craze.  For the windows I used Frost White Shimmer Paint, and for the bumper I used the Platinum Shimmer Paint just applying them with my Aqua Painter.  I also used the Champagne Shimmer Paint in a mister on the sentiment.  The trees in the background I used Old Olive and used the stamping off technique to get the three levels of colour.  I used my sponges to add a soft mistiness of colour to the trees and the ground.  And it's hard to see but I also made some clouds at the top of the card using my scallop circle as a template and sponging over it to create nice fluffy clouds.

Thanks for visiting.
