CI 20 - Floral Thank You

Welcome to another Colour INKspiration challenge, this week's inspiration photograph is so pretty, makes me think of lazy afternoons sipping wine and nibbling on tapas at a vineyard! What does it make you think of?

The Stampin' Up! colours we have pulled from this image for the challenge are:
  • Calypso Coral
  • Dapper Denim
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Always Artichoke

I have been working on swaps for an upcoming demonstrator event, and had this left over piece of DSP on my desk.  I have to admit that Always Artichoke is not my favourite colour, in fact it really is my least favourite, but I thought that I could sneak it into my layout easily if I used it on leaves. From there it was just a decision of which flowers to use.

I love the way the Eclectic Layers Framelits pair so well with each other and with the coordinating stamp set. I stamped one of the flowers in Calypso Coral, and then did the second layer (the thin lines that gives the flower definition) in Cherry Cobbler.  The other two flowers as simply cut from plain card stock.  The leaves I stamped with two of the stamps, for one of them stamping off to give additional colour tone.  A lovely strip of metallic edged ribbon and sentiment from Daisy Delight.

I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week - just use the colour combo and post a picture of your project on the CI Facebook page.

Time to hop on over to see what the lovely and talented Krissy has created.

Happy Stamping
Monique
